Stephanie and Payton – Their Name in Lights – A Love Story – 10.24.14
In October of 2013, one year before Stephanie and Payton’s wedding, I was setting up for a wedding at the Palace Theater and the Lancaster Room in Grapevine. Stephanie and her mom came to take a look since that is where they were going to have a wedding a year later. I met them and we were a match. I loved Stephanie and her mom and we really made a great team. Then we added the groom. It made for a perfect day.
Working in a theater as a ceremony location has it’s challenges. The first one is “How do we make it look like it is not a play?” Thanks to Randy at Randy Ro Entertainment, he was able to drape and light the stage just as the bride imagined it. WePlusYou added candles and instantly it was transformed. The bride chose a beautiful strapless gown and surrounded herself with precious bridesmaids dressed in jewel tones. WePlusYou provided beautiful floral to pull it all together.
I love when we mix it up a little by making the cake table a focal point in the room. Stephanie loved gold and that is where the cake table started. The yummy cake adorned with gold and the desserts of many kinds were provided by The Jenny Layne Bakery. The guests loved it. Dinner was provided by Extreme Cuisine Catering of Argyle and music was provided by Mike Sanderson of Randy Ro Entertainment. S.E.A.T by design provided the beautiful champagne satin linens.
At the end of the night, the guests had the fun treat of leaving with popcorn for their ride home! What a great way to end a PERFECT day!
And they lived happily ever after!
Sarah and Josh – 9.19.14 – Here comes the Sun….flower!
JOSH AND SARAH’S ENGAGEMENT
Sarah and Josh! Her smile would melt your heart! And that is exactly what happened to Josh! He is a personal trainer and she is a delivery nurse bringing beautiful babies into the world. They met at the gym and the rest is history! I can imagine that everyone who meets Sarah falls in love. That would be why she had 10 bridesmaids. They were all too sweet, including her sister that was the Maid of Honor. They chose Hickory Street Annex as their venue of choice. This is probably one of my favorite venues in Dallas. It is a little rustic, a little classy, a little cozy, happy place tucked in near Fair Park. She chose a wide color pallet of Sunflower Yellow, mint green and gray with a great splash of a chevron pattern for runners. Who doesn’t love chevron? Who doesn’t love chandeliers over the head table? Who doesn’t love a GIANT head table? Who doesn’t love a cross and what that represents in a marriage at the end of the aisle? Who doesn’t love a new husband that worships the ground his new wife walks on? Who doesn’t love cake by The Jenny Layne Bakery and yummy food by Gil’s Elegant Catering? Who doesn’t love, love? And what about that fluffy wedding dress, cowboy boots and gorgeous flowers and a red pickup truck for pictures? Jennefer Wilson Photography caught all of these delicious details on camera and Amanda Ferguson of We Plus You made the color pallet come to life. Dance, dance, dance with Randy Ro Entertainment! OMG, I just loved this wedding! Enjoy the pictures and the love represented here on this PERFECT day!

Regan and Jonathan – 9.02.14 – A Lovely Purple Garden Wedding
Who doesn’t love purple! All shades of purple in a garden! Marie Gabrielle/Dallas hosted this beautiful wedding! Regan and Jonathan were so much in love and were so excited to spend their perfect day with family and friends that they don’t see very often.
Regan and Jonathan live in Berlin, Germany and live life on a volleyball tour overseas. They play everywhere! Regan plays for Team USA (indoor) and Jonathan plays sand volleyball for Team Ghana and hopes to be on the Olympic team. They met in the Netherlands and were introduced by a mutual friend and had a sweet 8 year “court”ship. OK, so how did they find me? Regan and Jonathan are both from North Texas, even though they met in a foreign land. Regan’s parents live in Houston and Jonathan’s parents live in Ft. Worth. Regan did a little internet research and chose the beautiful garden of Marie Gabrielle for their ceremony and indoors for reception. Most of the planning was done via email with 2 short trips to the US for some marathon planning.
Weather for outdoor weddings are always a little iffy, but it was September and the chances of rain were doubtful. Right before the ceremony the wind picked up and we said many prayers. 10 minutes into the outdoor cocktail hour, the rain came down hard and there was a rush for the door. The rain was quickly forgotten by friends and family and it was a fun and beautiful evening! Thankful for the rain! It produced the great picture with the umbrella taken by Allison Davis Photography. The food was yummy, the cake was delicious thanks to Opulent Cakes, the decor was spectacular thanks to We Plus You and S.E.A.T.S. by Design, and the dancing and DJ Michael Jerome were amazing! It was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT DAY! Despite the rain!

Laura and Ryan – Something Blue…..8.2.14
I have known Laura since she was in middle school. Laura and my daughter, Melissa, were friends in church youth choir. Although they went to different schools, they both loved band and Laura ended up being a Middle School Band Director. Over the years they remained friends and Melissa was her Matron on Honor. This was a wedding that was planned from afar. Laura lived in Pasadena and Ryan lived here. The bride’s parents were in Austin, but with just a few trips to Dallas, we were able to plan a pretty wedding that was really sweet. Laura loved “horizon blue”. I love it when the bride steps outside the crayon box and uses a bright color.
Elephants….. I am not sure an elephant is a subtle detail to a wedding, but Laura and Ryan made it work. Ryan, the groom, loves elephants. Laura adopted a baby elephant for him from the Fort Worth Zoo, has painted him pictures of elephants and wanted to somehow incorporate elephants into the day. So the cake and the program had that little “elephant” accent. A fact about elephants I did not know was that trunks raised on an elephant is a symbol of “good luck”.
They chose Le Beaux Chateau for their wedding and reception venue in Flower Mound. The Jenny Layne Bakery added some sweet elephants to the yummy cake with lot’s of blue dots. The chapel and ballroom are connected, so when their guests arrived, no one had to go in the heat except for a few pictures. Julie Shields of Phase 3 Photography caught some great moments and Mike Sanderson of Randy Ro Entertainment provided lot’s of fun music with hours of dancing. Extreme Cuisine of Argyle provided some great Italian food.
At the end of the “perfect” day, what Wedding Planner doesn’t like her picture taken with the bride and groom?

Laura and Jonathan – Love, love love! 7.12.14
One of the wonderful things about wedding planning is that one wedding, produces another and then another and then another. See if you can follow this. Sarah (Laura’s sister) was one of the first weddings I planned. I have known Laura and Sarah since they were in elementary school Sarah’s wedding was large and beautiful! Laura (the bride’s sister) referred me to Holly who led me to Megan, Macey, Callyn and back to LAURA who married Holly’s brother, JONATHAN….which is what this blog is about! Almost all of LAURA’s bridesmaids had been brides in weddings I had planned. It is a circular world of referrals….of which I am very thankful!
Laura and Jonathan were sweethearts after high school (even though they went to high school together). At that time it didn’t quite work out. Then Jonathan’s sister (Holly) got married and they were brought back into each other’s presence and one thing led to another, which led to Jonathan moving back to Dallas from LA and Laura moving back to Dallas from Nashville, an engagement and then a HAPPILY EVER AFTER!
Laura was a bride who knew exactly what she wanted, what kind of wedding, what kind of reception, color, style and food. That makes my job easy. She and Jonathan chose the beautiful Room on Main in downtown Dallas and Royal Lane Baptist Church. Best blessing for me is that my husband, Sonny, with Love Notes, performed their ceremony. He truly loves Laura and Jonathan and that makes it special.
Laura chose a beautiful and simple dress with pockets and a perfect bow in the front from Bridal Boutique in Lewisville. The girls wore kelly green short dresses. Sarah, the Matron of Honor, had a bow on the back of her dress. So cute!
Floral was provided by Lisa Stiles of Coco Fleur Events. The bride chose a total ranunculus bouquet of white that was so perfect for her. Cute lamps with the bride and groom’s monogram were subtle in the ballroom. The monograms were also on sashes on the pews in the church, programs, the bride’s necklace and handkerchief. SO SWEET!
CN Catering provided fish tacos, beef sandwiches, waffle fries and other fun items for a station dinner, followed by fresh made donut holes with fun sauces and a traditional cake made by The Jenny Layne Bakery.
Randy Ro Entertainment provided music for the event and the talented Matt McElligott provided photography.
A very PERFECT day!

Emily and Daniel’s Garden Wedding – 6.29.14
Emily and Daniel….so much in love. I have known Emily since she was in Middle School. She attended a Sunday School class my husband and I taught when she was in High School. We saw Emily and her parents at church on Christmas Eve 2013 and she had just become engaged to Daniel. I handed her mom my card and the planning began! The first time I met with Emily she had so much fun telling me how they met, how they loved the Lord and how much she loved butterflies and nature. We took those items to the extreme. We ran with that. There were two things she would “die on the hill for”. They were Praise and Worship during her ceremony to the Lord they love and a flower wreath in her hair. Gotta love it! She and Daniel were Aggies and Daniel was going into the service. We had limited time to find a venue and get started. We finally found a place that the date, minister and all the other requirements would fit…The Chapel in Ana Villa. It didn’t have everything exactly as she wanted, but with the help of Lisa Stiles of Coco Fleur Events and her beautiful floral talent, trees from Bread and Butter, lighting from Randy Ro Entertainment and vision, we were able to pull of the most amazing wedding with everything that they envisioned including the sugar flower and butterfly cake that was divine, created by The Jenny Layne Bakery.. It was SO MUCH FUN. There friends and the groom did surprise dance for Emily, they danced the night away and left to a butterfly confetti send off. Emily has a special place in my heart because I have known her for so long. I know they will live happily ever after. What a better way to start their life together…a perfect day!

Katie and Chris – 6.15.14 – A Touch of Blush
Katie and Chris chose the beautiful First United Methodist in Ft. Worth for their ceremony. Such a beautiful, majestic church to say their sacred vows. A touch of blush throughout the day made a beautiful backdrop for a sweet summer day. Katie has precious girlfriends as bridesmaids with her sweet sister, Hayley as the Maid of Honor. Following the ceremony, joy filled the Ashton Depot as she and her Dad cut a rug in a crazy way for the father/daughter dance. The guests had a wonderful time dancing to the band, Tenacity, eating great food and delicious cake. A great time had by all! It was a perfect day!

Aisha and Nick – Such a sweet day!
Aisha and Nick picked a beautiful site for their perfect day. The first weekend of June, Aisha and Nick tied the knot at the Trinity Audubon Center. It was a rainy day, but that did not dampen the spirits of their sweet guests and family. We moved on to plan B under an awning for the sweet ceremony. Their guests enjoyed a yummy brunch provided by Bolsa Mercade and had fun with a donut cake with the delicious donuts from Glazed Donut Works in Deep Ellum. The sun came out and they were able to enjoy a few pictures outside with photographer, Nakoya Moss. Beautiful florals by Dirt brought the nature from outside right into the venue! Enjoy!

Holly and Paden’s Perfect Day
I loved Holly! It is easy to understand why Paden wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. This wedding was so much fun to plan! Holly had a crazy schedule at work, mom and dad lived in another city and we spent lot’s of Thursdays together planning. This was a very special couple.
I loved how the ceremony was the most important part of the day. Special beautiful music provided by Eric Michaels Music with the perfect backdrop of the Piazza in the Village in Colleyville. Prayer, music, foot washing and a true love of the Lord made this day perfect.
Holly chose blush, gold and silver for her colors. The bridesmaids were all so pretty they looked like part of the décor. Holly’s dress was amazing and fit her personality perfectly and was purchased form Bridal Boutique of Lewisville.. Stems of Dallas provided the GIANT gorgeous florals. Randy of Randy Ro Entertainment made for a great party. Jenny Layne Bakery whipped up the beautiful ruffled cake and the bleeding Texas Longhorn adorned with Texas A&M. The amazing photography was provided by Jennefer Wilson Photography
